Uncle Pete’s Lunches

Uncle Pete’s Ministries Sack Lunches for the Needy

Friday, February 15 at 8:30 a.m.

Uncle Pete’s Ministries (UPM) mission is to provide sack lunches to families in
need all over the Chicagoland area. It was started by a parishioner, Pete Zonzius, who was considered the “ultimate volunteer.” He wanted to provide meals to those who were less fortunate so he organized a community of people to make sack lunches.

On Friday, February 15, we will collect lunches at Roosevelt school starting at 8:30 a.m. through the visitor’s entrance outside of the school office. UPM will then drive the lunches out in the Chicagoland area and give to people in need of a meal.

The Roosevelt Student Council is helping the Kindness Committee in this effort. They will be distributing the sacks to each classroom as well as making posters to promote it. Thank you to the Student Council!

Last year, Roosevelt students provided 450 sack lunches.
Let’s work towards beating that number this year!!
