Roosevelt Community Garden

The school garden needs some summer loving!

We are finished planting and we’ve got seedlings, seeds and plants getting cozy in the soil!  Make sure to stop by and say hello to the garden that the kindergarten classes helped to plant. And now we need to keep those plants growing throughout the summer.

We are looking for families to volunteer to care for the garden over the summer (June 3 – August 25).  Duties include watering every day (unless it rains), weeding, and tidying the garden.  Talking to the plants is optional, but encouraged.

We are asking families to commit to a full week of care (Monday through Sunday).  You will need to bring your own garden tools, but hose/buckets are provided.  The time of day you water is flexible, but it is best to avoid the peak sun hours (10am – 3pm) if possible.

CLICK HERE if you are interested in taking care of the
garden for a week this summer or email the garden club at rooseveltschoolgarden@gmail.com .

Thank you very much for helping our garden grow!
