Back to School Bash
Hosted at school. There are food vendors, bounce houses, spirit wear for sale, a book fair and more! There are informational tables for various clubs and activities to get involved in. This event is for the entire family. It is not a drop-off event.
V-Show
A 50+ year tradition at Roosevelt!Open to all grades, students will be put into grade level groups and they will be given a song to learn. Their coaches (parent volunteers) come up with costumes and dance moves to accompany the song. Each group has over a month to plan and practice and then it’s showtime! There are multiple performances in a weekend so there’s plenty of opportunity for friends and family to see the show and support the performers! Practices will run on Sunday afternoons mid/late January through February. Dress Rehearsal is late February followed by Showtime in March.
Boosevelt
Boosevelt is Roosevelt's very own original Halloween event that was born during Covid and continues to evolve each year. We're always looking for people to create haunted scenes, decorate their cars for trick-or-trunk, or add spooky ideas.
Primary and Intermediate Dances
Primary dance is for grades K-2, Intermediate for grades 3-5. Hosted in the evening at school, the dances have a theme and most students like to dress for the theme (past themes include neon, carnival, western, luau, etc). DJ, food and other activities. This is not a drop-off event! Each student must be with a parent or guardian. There are lots of volunteer opportunities for parents to set-up, help during the dance or clean-up!
Fifth Grade Parade and Party
Roosevelt sends its 5th graders off to Lincoln in style with an off-site party, preceded by the infamous parade inside the school.
